Audiocodes Mediant (VE) - Specifications
Audiocodes Mediant (VE) SBC
This page describes topology and the provisioning parameters for the Audiocodes Mediant Virtual Edition (VE) Session Border Controller. It explains the numbered interfaces, compute choices, service-specific inputs and the platform-generated outputs you will see in the console.

Interfaces
The diagram shows a single virtual machine instance with a platform-allocated Public IP attached to the #1 - Internet Interface. The optional #2 - MPLS-VPN interface is available when enabled and appears as a second interface on the same VNF.
#1 - Internet Interface
- Role: public/Internet connectivity for the VNF.
- Public IP address (allocated) is a platform-generated output. Reserve a Public IP in the console using the IP Allocation step before configuring this interface.
- The allocated public IPv4 address is displayed in the console and injected into the VNF configuration by the platform; it is not a customer-provided interface IP during provisioning.
- Interface settings related to this connection can be updated from the console after provisioning.
#2 - MPLS-VPN interface (optional)
- The MPLS-VPN interface is optional and disabled by default. To enable it, set Active interface to true in the creation form.
- When enabled, provide one or more entries in the VPN list. Each VPN entry requires:
- VPN Name — a textual VPN alias (allowed characters: letters, digits, hyphen and underscore).
- VPN role — select one of: any-to-any, client, server.
- Constraints: when populated the VPN list requires at least one entry (up to 99 entries). Several network address fields such as Subnet, MaskLength, Gateway address, Service Address and VNF address are platform-provided and informational for this blueprint.
Virtual device parameters
- VM name — Hostname used for the VM (max 22 characters; allowed characters: letters, digits and hyphen). This field is required during creation.
- Image — Choose the software image to deploy. Supported image example: vSBC_AudioCodes_7.40A.501.392 (select from the dropdown).
- Flavor — Select the compute sizing for the VM. Supported flavors declared in the specification include std1.c2m, std1.c4m and std1.c8.
Cloud-init is generated automatically by the platform for this VNF; custom user data upload is not allowed.
Service specific parameters
- Password ('Admin' account) — Mandatory. This value sets the device local administrator password via cloud-init during first boot. It is sensitive and will not be displayed after provisioning.
- SSH over Internet (Initial Setup) — Boolean (default: false). When set to true the initial configuration enables SSH access to the device for setup. Use this option only when necessary.
Platform-generated outputs
- Public IP address (allocated) — The platform allocates this Public IPv4 address during the IP Allocation step and displays it in the console. It is a provisioning output, not a customer-provided input.
- Other network addresses shown for the MPLS interface (subnet, gateway, service and VNF addresses) are platform-managed informational values for this blueprint.
Software device versions
- 7.40A.501.392
