Dedicated Ports Cloud Connectivity - Edit resource

In this guide, we will walk you through the steps to modify a cloud connector in designed status.

From the Inventory, select the cloud connector

Note

Only a cloud connector in Designed status can be modified.

Select the cloud connector in the inventory and click on the tree dots on the right and click on Edit resource.

Step 1 : Project

Note

You can't change the project attached to a cloud connector.

You have to create a new cloud connector with the corresponding project.

Step 2 : Essentials settings

Note

The journey is quite the same as the creation one, except for the flavor option which can’t be changed.

The name and the Equinix credentials can be changed on this screen.

You can also modify the following technical parameters :

Parameter	Description
A Side Port Id Primary	Fill with the Port Id Primary of your dedicated ports.
A Side Vlan Id Primary	Fill with the Vlan Id Primary of your dedicated ports.
A Side Port Id Secondary	Fill with the Port Id Secondary of your dedicated ports.
A Side Vlan Id Secondary	Fill with the Vlan Id Secondary of your dedicated ports.

Note

If you've defined only one dedicated port on Equinix, you need to set the same UUID for the fields : A Side Port Id Primary and A Side Port Id Secondary. In than case you have to use and define different "A Side Vlan Id Primary" and "A Side Vlan Id Secondary".

Click on Continue button.

Step 3 : General service parameters

On this screen you can modify the following parameters :

• Location
• Reserved Bandwidth
• Configured Bandwidth
• Technical VPN

Note

Location represents where Orange Business network and Equinix network are directly connected.

Click on Continue button.

Step 4 : Connectivity parameters

On this screen you can modify the following parameters :

Parameter	Description
A Side Bgp Asn	Define the Asn you want to implement on your physical device for bgp routing.
IP Subnet Primary	Define /30 subnet you want to configure on the primary link with your physical device (CIDR notation).
IP Subnet Secondary	Define /30 subnet you want to configure on the secondary link with your physical device (CIDR notation).
Routing policy	Basic aggregate: only RFC1918 aggregate will be sent to Equinix. Default route: Only a default route will be sent to Equinix. No aggregate: All your VPN IP routes will be sent to Equinix (Could cause a routing table overflow)

Apply the requested changes and click on Continue when it's ok.

Step 5 : Summary and pricing

On this screen you have on the right a summary and an estimated pricing for this configured cloud connector.

From this page you have multiple possibilities:

Option	Description
Modification	Click on the Modify button of the section where you want to modify parameter or click on Back button to navigate to previous pages.
Cancellation	Click on the Cancel button.
Designing	Click on the Save as designed button if you want to save your new configuration. You will be able to provision last the cloud connector from Cloud Connector Inventory. See Provision.
